sweet little thing

i was reading an article from baby center about loveys and how babies use them in preparation to become independent. something stirred inside me and i felt kinda happy-sad. =) it's still a long way before he becomes independent, but it just made me realize that time really is flying by fast.

jecobie is at that stage na parang "we think" natututo na syang maglambing. he's always alert, keeping his head upright most of the time pag karga mo sya. pero recently, he rests his head on your chest or shoulders, kahit di sya inaantok. parang, wala lang, he probably just likes it like that. for me and mr. co-creator, it feels like our little one's way of making lambing.it's like our little reward for attending to his needs.

malapit na syang magkangipin. and for me, that's the start na talagang magiging bata na sya.

last sunday, we had dinner at cody's, and i fed pistoy small bits of bread. he ate it. and although it was fun watching him do it, naisip ko rin na once he graduates from pureed food, we have to watch what we eat na, kasi he will eat the same stuff na rin. table food = big boy.

pistoy already weighs twice his birth weight. i can't carry him in craddle position anymore. although one time while i was playing with him, i carried him in that position and he just stared at me, probably feels familiar to him. he's outgrown most of the clothes we got from the baby showers, and he's wearing clothes that used to be on the "still too big for him" pile. that pile is only just a few onesies now.

maybe i'm just feeling a bit sentimental. i can't wait to see him grow, but at the same time, i want to keep him little. we're enjoying every second with him right now, and i don't ever want to forget how this feels.
