the one pistoy is currently using resembles the nipples on his bottles.
babycenter didn't mention any preference sa 2 types. and i think pistoy is over the hump of nipple confusion dahil alam na nya kung papano mag-latch sa akin.
the thing is, minsan kahit busog na sya, gusto lang nyang mag-suck, or gusto nyang may nakasalpak sa bibig nya. i don't want him to be dependent sa pacifier. pero if it will help him soothe himself at times, then i'm all up for it. question now is... how do i choose a pacifier? =P
Find one that is recommended for BF babies. Sophia is FF but she's using NUK brand (flat bottom) for months and fine with it ;-) Before this, she was using the Avent brand.
ReplyDeleteBinky is a lifesaver basta wag lang masanay lagi nakasalpak sa bibig nila. She only uses it pampatulog then pag nakatulog na, automatic iluluwa na nya hahaha.
thanks liza! i'll read through the reviews nga muna siguro. so far, walang BFing momi na nagrecommend ng paci eh, di ko tuloy alam kung alin bang type ang pang-BF or FF babies. =P
ReplyDeletewe used both kinds for eidan.. di naman sya nagreklamo.. though we know he liked the rounded one.. kasi napapasok ko yung pinky ko dun while he bites on it.. hehe..
ReplyDeletepampacify lang namin yung binky.. like pag umiiyak sya sa car or nung tinetrain namin syang matulog sa crib nya.. it helps a lot.. then iluluwa din nya pag ok na sya =)
sabi nung mga parents na kausap ko dito sa office.. it's better for them to use nga daw the pacifier than their thumbs.. tapos naalala ko sa pinas, gusto nilang nagsasuck ng thumb yung baby.. mabait daw pag ganon.. hehe.. di ko alam kung bakit narelate yung thumb sucking sa would-be-behavior nung bata.. ok, back to the pacifier over thumb.. =D ang point nila is, yung pacifier you can wean out, yung thumb, hinde.. they have a point din naman pla.. =)
hmm. makes sense. alangan naman ipatapyas ang thumb ni pistoy to wean him. hehe!
