breaking the routine

it's ONLY been 12 days since mama and papa flew out of FL. pero it already felt like a month!

je and i were juggling taking care of pistoy, working, taking care of the house, and all the other miscellaneous that comes with it. of course pistoy comes first, it goes without saying. kaya pansin din namin ni je yung epekto sa trabaho namin at sa bahay. it doesn't help that pistoy is a high need baby. hehe! ayan, hindi na "iyakin", "high need" na.

MWF, kasama ni je si pistoy sa office nila. pumapasok ako around 7am, so i could leave by 3:30pm, drive to je's office, pick up pistoy, go home, take care of him until umuwi si je. it sounds simple enough, right?

one of the casualties of this set up is my pumping sessions. minsan 6 hours lumilipas bago ako magpump, minsan pag di ako magising sa madaling araw, 8 hours.  pag sa office, 5 hours na yung pinakamatagal, and that's usually because may gumagamit ng medical lounge, or may meeting akong sunud-sunod. ang hirap i-timing. i'm surprised i still have some milk ngayon. it's like an unintentional weaning. hopefully di naman mabigla si pistoy pag biglang nawalan ako ng supply. sa ngayon, alternate syang 3 ounces ng formula and breastmilk.

before umalis sila mama, andami kong naka-stock na gatas kasi i can pump when i need to dahil may magbabantay kay pistoy. ngayon ibang istorya na. and the worst part is, ayaw na nyang mag-latch sa akin. naiinip na sya. =( i can still latch him on pag sa gabi or madaling-araw, pag lasing pa sya sa antok. pero sa umaga, ayaw na nya. one time na na-plugged duct ako, madaling araw na narelieve ni pistoy. ang pakunsuwelo ko na lang is hindi pa rin nya nakakalimutan pano mag-latch. hehe!

other than the pumping sessions, sleep ang isa pang bawas ngayon. dati kasi nakaka-nap ako kahit gising si pistoy. ngayon kahit tulog si pistoy, we still have lots of stuff to do kaya by the time tapos na lahat ng gawain, pagising na ang hari.

oh well. we chose this setting, so we'll really try to make it work. if push comes to shove, there's the daycare, there's my bro (until august), my lola (that will take a lot of pagsisipsip), and some relatives from NY. =)
